  • Sometimes this amount can be used to improve her existing micro-enterprise.

Livelihood Credit (Livestock)

Features

  • A micro loan ranging from ₹8,000 to ₹15,000.
  • The term is usually one year.
  • Repayment frequency usually weekly or based on SHG members’ preference.

Social Impact

  • Poor household could supplement their income with extra income generated from livestock (i.e. Cow, Goat etc.).
  • Livestock adds positively to agrarian economy with environment friendly livelihood option.

Livelihood Credit (Agriculture)

Features

  • A micro loan ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹12,000.
  • The term is usually from 12 weeks up to one year.
  • Repayment frequency usually weekly or based on SHG members’ preference.

Social Impact

  • A small vegetable garden can supplement the income of the poor family.
  • During farming season, this amount helps the farming household to buy seeds, fertiliser and other farming needs.

Asset Micro-insurance (Livestock)

Features

  • In association with United India General Insurance, Sreejan offers livestock insurance for cow.
  • Premium is around 6% of the sum-assured.

Social Impact

  • By protecting the livelihood asset such as cow from adverse events, the poor household can ensure their livelihood without interruption.

Health Micro-insurance

Features

  • In association with United India General Insurance, Sreejan offers health micro-insurance for the SHG member and her family members.
  • Annual premium is ₹120 for member and her dependent.

Social Impact

  • Insured members will get ₹50,000 sum-assured if encountered with accident.
  • This will protect their family in case of health emergencies.
